Yves Rocher, our commitments

At Yves Rocher, we are botanists, harvesters, manufacturers and traders without intermediaries. This is how we keep our feet and our prices on the ground. More than words, here are our actions.

Commitment #1 – Plant-based active ingredients in our formulas

Pioneers and visionaries, at Yves Rocher, we are experts in Botanical Beauty® Research. We explore the fabulous potential of plants to develop active ingredients derived from plants. Our products are innovative, effective and contribute to the respect of the environment.

Commitment #2 – Agroecology in our fields

At La Gacilly, we have chosen agro-ecology as a pioneering model of agriculture to regenerate the soil and the environment of our fields and the places that surround them.  Our 9 emblematic plants grow in Brittany, in 60 hectares of fields cultivated in agroecology and certified organic since 1999.

We strive to promote these more virtuous agricultural practices to all our partner producers.

Certified UEBT, Union for Ethical BioTrade, we are committed to sourcing all of our natural ingredients with respect for people and biodiversity.

Commitment #3 – More responsible packaging

Our packaging is eco-designed and our practices are designed to drastically reduce our waste production. Our credo: less plastic and less packaging for greater sustainability. Today, our bottles, except for the caps and pumps, are produced in recyclable and recycled plastic.

Commitment #4 – Protecting Biodiversity

Since 1959, preserving and enhancing biodiversity has been one of our key commitments in our fields in Brittany and around the world.  100% of our industrial sites in Brittany are certified as LPO (Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux) Refuge. As for our Botanical Garden, it is home to 1500 preserved plant species.

As a sponsor of the Yves Rocher Foundation’s PLANT FOR LIFE programme, we have participated in the planting of 100 million trees worldwide, i.e. 1 tree every 3 seconds.
