Here’s everything you need to know about skin hydration

We all know that beautiful skin is skin that is well hydrated. But when? But how? How? Why?
Here’s everything you need to know about skin hydration

Dry skin, dehydrated skin…. What is the difference?

  • It’s simple: dry skin is a skin type and dehydrated skin is a skin condition. Whether naturally dry, combination, normal or oily, skin can be dehydrated by external factors such as the cold, wind or sunlight.

I have naturally oily skin, is it really worth moisturising?

  • Yes! It is essential to moisturise oily skin. The hydrolipidic film (especially when the skin is frequently cleansed, precisely because it is oily) may be weakened, and the skin is no longer able to retain water, resulting in a feeling of discomfort and tightness.

Why should you moisturise before applying make-up?

  • Moisturised skin means a radiant complexion, less redness and discomfort… It’s also an optimal base for make-up to set, from foundation to eyeshadow to powder.

If I drink more water, my skin will be more hydrated…

  • Drinking 1.5 litres of water a day will hydrate your skin from the inside. Water is involved in cell repair and in keeping the skin supple, radiant and firm. Our body cannot do without it!

Evening, morning… what is the best time to moisturise my skin?

  • Evening AND morning. After showering or bathing, for a better penetration of the moisturiser, thus favouring the action of the ingredients.
